Zoning Amendments Approved!

The Straban Township Board of supervisors approved zoning amendments on June 7, 2010 and the Shining Stars Therapeutic Learning Center/indoor arena building project can NOW officially move forward!

 Earlier this year, Shining Stars received a matching grant from the Thomas L. Cline Foundation for $100,000 to begin building the Shining Stars Therapeutic Learning Center.

This grant takes us one GIANT step closer to building an indoor facility, which will allow us to conduct therapeutic riding and other programs year round. In order to receive the funds from the grant we need to raise an additional $100,000. Thanks to your pledges and donations toward the 2010 "Star Appeal" Capital Campaign, we have raised $91,000 and are SO CLOSE to attaining that matching grant!!! 

Our goal is to raise $300,000 over the period of a year. Please continue to pray for our success. Ask God to multiply the fruit of our efforts, for miracles, to maintain momentum throughout the year, and to supply the money to reach our goal. We are asking God for 100 people to pledge $1,000 each. Continue to prayerfully consider what you may be able to give over the period of a year to the Star Appeal Campaign

We are estimating the final cost of the therapeutic learning center to be somewhere around $350,000 for the complete project. Please help us by sharing our need with everyone you know, businesses you are associated with, friends, and family. God has brought us this far, He will finish His work in us.
