on Saturday, September 11th at 1:00 at the arena at 3185 York Road, Gettysburg. We will be celebrating some of the wonderful things God has done this year at Shining Stars. Riders will receive their rewards and pictures that were taken during the year end horse shows. A FREE meal for all volunteers who present their Shining Stars name tag!
Besides the sheer fun of it...
a huge dose of self-confidence comes with riding and horse-related activities!
Therapeutic Riding helps raise self-esteem, but it also teaches special needs students essential skills. It improves balance, builds trust, and starts a friendship with horse, rider, and volunteer. Students forget they're having physical therapy and lose themselves in the fun!
Zoning Amendments Approved!
The Straban Township Board of supervisors approved zoning amendments on June 7, 2010 and the Shining Stars Therapeutic Learning Center/indoor arena building project can NOW officially move forward!
Earlier this year, Shining Stars received a matching grant from the Thomas L. Cline Foundation for $100,000 to begin building the Shining Stars Therapeutic Learning Center.
