Shining Stars Therapeutic Riding
- Therapeutic horsemanship classes for special needs students of all ages. Mounted lessons for individuals or groups of 2-4 students per class. Also offered are unmounted lessons for those who can benefit from caring for & relating to the horse on the ground. $15.00 per 1/2 hour.
Equine Assisted Learning
- Small group non-riding classes for 4th through 6th Graders using mini-horses to boost character skills. Good for improving social skills sportsmanship, teamwork, problem solving, etc. Eight weekly sessions of one hour classes, at $30.00 per class.
Carriage Driving
- A therapeutic class for those who cannot mount a horse, for various reasons such as size/weight or wheelchair confinement. Students may learn to harness the horse and also drive the carriage. Special cart with a wheelchair ramp makes it easily accessible and safe. $15.00 per 1/2 hour.
Drill Team
- For independent riders who are recommended by SSTR instructors and the Program Director. The team works on group riding manuevers, teamwork and improving horsemanship skills. $15.00 per 1/2 hour.
Sunday Morning Discipleship Class
- Students of all ages can share in a Bible lesson, craft, games & social interaction while caregivers may attend the 9:15 worship service at Freedom Valley. No pre-registration needed--just come!
Saturday Respite Night
- Special needs class activities to allow parents & caregivers some free time.
Pappy's Project
- A ministry providing hand-made fleece blankets to cancer patients. Students learn how to show empathy & caring for those who are ill.
